They need the standard Fedora repos plus ONE of the non-Fedora repos
if they want to play encrypted DVDs.

And even then some of the 3rd party repos may replace some core libraries where some have a policy of not doing that.

Or think they do?

Consider who is having the problem. He has a history of doing things
the hard way. In doing so, he creates problems for himself that few
others run into.

And yet in the bazillion messages about what he was doing wrong, no one provided a link to a place that explained the right way.
