God spare me from ever being typical, except as being the typical Scorpio Male. <cackles> Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and I share the same birthday. 11/11. <smirks> As I age I'm starting to get the baggy eyes that he had. That part hurts. My hair sticks out too. About my RPM nVidia problems. Back when I ran livna supplied nVidia stuff. Croquet (which is libGL intensive as hell), refused to work. I installed the nVidia bin straight from nVidia, with much fear and loathing due to all the comments of this list, and it *worked*. Case closed. It might have been a fluke, but it was 6 months of fluke. That wasted time really peeved me no end. Games run like a scalded ape now, (sauerbraten is way kEwL!) so now I'm happy as a clam. :) Ric -- ================================================ My father, Victor Moore (Vic) used to say: "There are two Great Sins in the world... ..the Sin of Ignorance, and the Sin of Stupidity.
