That will force X to use the vesa driver, which works. The nv driver still does not work with these recent Quadro mobile cards: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249367. I believe the latest nv driver from xorg does work, but it has not yet been pushed to Fedora. Your choices for now are to stick with the vesa driver or to use the nVidia binary drivers. BTW, there have been several reports (mine is one) that these machines won't suspend when running F8.
