By the fallen SELinux tree.  Sorry, I couldn't resist...

You may find some SELinux messages in /var/log/messages, but
inside /var/log/audit/ is where SELinux auditing messages are usually
written.

They're not particularly human readable, they're meant to be parsed by a
tool.  You'd want to read up about SELinux before delving into that.
