I have some questions: 1- Why TuxOnIce is not the default suspend system? 2- Using gnome-power-manager it is impossible to have the laptop going to hibernation after sometimes, while it is on battery; you can only choose "suspend" (and suspend is not working: laptop never resume) and not hibernate and, in anyway, nothing happens! no suspension after 10mn (if you have chosen this time) and *no switch off* when the charge becomes critical. 3- dpms is not properly working when a user is connected: backlight switches of after some time, then switches on a few seconds later. dpms is working when you have the gdm loging banner and nobody is connected.
