Hi,

it seems there's a new firefox 2.0.0.9 update but yum goes into
infinite loop
checking for dependencies:

Yum update on F7 processed the update to firefox.i386
0:2.0.0.9-1.fc7 without any problems. Well, I used yumex, really,
but the results were:

$ rpm -qa | grep firefox
firefox-2.0.0.9-1.fc7
firefox-devel-2.0.0.9-1.fc7

Not a solution for you, I realize, but this information may help you
narrow down where to look, perhaps.
This is on a Fedora 8/x86_64 system... :-(

There is no firefox rpm in the updates directory of any of the F8
mirrors that I examined. Also nothing in updates/testing/8/i386 or
updates/testing/8/x86_64/. Is your system a clean install? What
repositories do you have enabled?

Never mind, now I don't get these devhelp and firefox update nasties.
It seemed that there were updates for 32- and 64-bit devhelp but
only 32-bit firefox update. In another thread on this or fedora-devel list
I read that the maintainer revkoed the firefox and devhelp updates
until all things get rebuilt. And yes, it's a clean install of Fedora 8.
