I tested that in Seamonkey and Konqueror. It's not what happens in KDE
on SL5 (Tikanga-clone).
Ctrl-c/v method also appears to be the same.
I rarely do that as it-s sooo clumsy.
KDE has an applet, Klipper, that stores several prior selections, and
allows one to recall any of those.
