Ok, I have tried in vain to stop ipv6 from loading on boot. If I uncomment the following lines in /etc/modprobe.conf #alias net-pf-10 off #alias ipv6 off then I get the following during boot: module off not found. I have looked at /etc/sysctl.conf but I don't see a default entry for the stoppage of ipv6. I really would like to completely and utterly obliterate ipv6 once and for all, as it seems to really bog down my system. -- John Registered Linux User 263680, get counted at http://counter.li.org
