Please read what I said.
I did not say that there were NO DIFFERENCES between Fedora and RHEL;
I said that in my experience you are just as likely to have problems
with one as with the other.

The idea that you are less likely to meet problems with linux-2.2
than with linux-2.6 is just nonsense, in my opinion.
It's like saying that a 3-year old car is less likely to go wrong
than a new car.

I find the use of the word "stable" absurd in this context.
It is years since I came across any Linux kernel
(or Windows OS, for that matter)
that could be described as unstable, in the normal meaning of that term,
which I take to mean "subject to failure in an unpredictable way".

Please note too that the discussion was not about some esoteric feature
in a vanilla linux kernel -
it was about the changes made in the spec files between 2.6.22.1-27
and 2.6.22.1-33,
in other words, spec files for the same Linux kernel.
I very much doubt if any deliberate change was made to the WiFi module.
I imagine something was altered inadvertently,
which hopefully will shortly be corrected.
