Gnome shortcut precedence in Java apps (intellij)

After installing IntelliJ, I find that some common shortcuts in intelliJ
no longer works because Gnome's keyboard shortcut takes precedence over
it.

Are there any solution to this, other than changing/removing gnome's
shortcuts?
