How would that work if you wanted to use another video card, simultaneously that wanted X without mangling?
Without mangling of what? Its not clear to me what kind of configuration & use case you're referencing. If you want to use two completely different X drivers with full accleration in both, that isn't possible, and has nothing to do with nvidia's packaging or installer.
