I have been having the same problem with a new F7 install on a hp
laptop.  I had FC5 on before and was able to shutdown from the gnome
menu resulting in a power off status.  F7 shutdowns using the same
method but does not power off.


I get the  same message as you

Were you able to figure out what to do
