Hi

I use kdm and hack around with /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc as required

But that is on a standard F7 install!!!!!!!!!

Create /etc/sysconfig/desktop
DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE"
DISPLAY="KDE"
WINDOWMANAGER="KDE

Edited /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc as required
243             AllowRootLogin=true
285             #GUIStyle=Bluecurve     Bluecurve + Clock puts clock on Right!
                                       So does commented out Bluecurve
                                       Don't know why orig clock is above !
293             LogoArea=Clock
               #LogoArea=None
317             GreetString="Welcome to Fedora 7 on %h"
320             GreetFont=Sans,12,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0
342             #UserList=true
               UserList=false
354             #ShowUsers=NotHidden
441             #UseTheme=true
446             #ColorScheme=FedoraFlyingHigh
494             AllowRootLogin=true

Thanks.

Do I have to restart the X server for the changes to take effect?
I was doing changes on kdmrc last night but none seemed to take place despite restarting the X server.

BTW, my F7 install was not standard, I upgraded from FC6 via YUM :)
