I think he is referring to that. Someone over on the fwbuilder list has 
figured out how to run fwbuilder on top of openwrt, another such project. I 
happen to have one of the Linksys models that allows the substitute firmware 
and it is on my todo list to install openwrt and run fwbuilder on top of 
it -- more info here
