Don't get the idea that the EU is that much better. Chunks of it are effectively Microsoft owned (the percentage of Ireland's tax revenue which is Microsoft is rather scary because of the way they handle Windows sales in the EU). This means we continue to get stupid ideas emerging at the EU level. The lack of accountability in the EU also makes the US look like paradise. Alan
