There is the implicit step in their of using your newly "up"ed eth0 to download the proper grub-<latest_version_for_your_fedora>.rpm - in order to reinstall the grub programs that you removed in the rpm -e step - to enable to you to rewrite the grub bootloader to your disk. The package used in FC6 is located here: ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/grub-0.97-13.i386.rpm You should be able to use wget followed by that URL to download it. I guess the important thing to know is how your grub got knackered and what state it is in now.
Alternatively ... I would think that once you have chrooted to your sysimage, and brought your network interface up, you should be able to just "yum install grub" from the command line to do all the downloading and reinstallation of grub automatically for you. /Mike
