I haven't had any such problems, and I'm using the same repos. But, I haven't used sane for a while, and I did see a note about a recent update for open office having a bug that crashed while just opening a file requester, and there was a subsequent update to fix that the next day. Try updating again, perhaps. I think the only things that I use Livna with are mplayer and nvidia (not that I can get nvidia to work without crashing). Perhaps Xine and VLC, as well, but I haven't checked where I got them from. It'd be Livna or the Fedora repos. Livna and the Macromedia repo are the only third-party ones that I'm using.
