Naturally, sorry about that and here it goes:

hde: status error: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest }
ide: failed opcode was: unknown
hde: drive not ready for command

The errors you are seeing, are they when you use media created on other
drives?
Well in general, if I switch to text console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) the message
is being displayed every 5 seconds (without any media in drive).

When you used the drive in FC5 was it in the same system or did you
move the drive to a different system?
It's on a new system, that I'm having some other issues also. It's
gigabyte board and only the kernel from installation CD recognises the
soundcard, non so far from the updated once have :(

Well, if you are having "other issues" then you may be having power supply
problems that are showing up as other things. Unstable power will make
things look as if you have problems in other areas. Same is true for memory
problems.

Did you re-seat cables or change cables to see if the problem moves?
Nope, I give that a try.

I will second that as I have had two power supply issues in the past year.

A known problem with the power supply that I purchased. Only brand that has high power sold here.
