In /etc/aliases, near the bottom, you'll see a line that you should edit:
# Person who should get root's mail
root: you@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You'll then get a daily report of anything important happening.
Actually, he should really start by editing /etc/log.d/logwatch.conf. :-)
