I don't know but why can't you use yum. I odn't understand why people
are committed to apt-get in the Fedora world. While I am at it I don't
think smart is so smart.
Apt's biggest advantage is the ability to do user interactive post install
stuff. So you get a gui that runs for each thing that you install asking
you how you'd like it set up - it's about the only good thing Debian/etc
has over Fedora
