More seriously, now that I've read the whole piece: I'll just ignore the multimedia/codec part of the rant, as I think Fedora's stance on the matter is the right one, but I'd like feedback (not flames, really) on just these two bits: * failure to maintain key repositories in a sane, consistent state from which upgrades might actually be possible. * Adding another layer of complexity, bugs, and wretched performance with yum Personally, I have not experienced these problems yet, so I'd like to know in which specific cases there is this kind of problems.
