I have always wandered if, instead of this, he's just having a hell of
a good laugh making the rest of us yell with ravings that only he can
afford to publish because he doesn't need to work anymore...

More seriously, now that I've read the whole piece: I'll just ignore
the multimedia/codec part of the rant, as I think Fedora's stance on
the matter is the right one, but I'd like feedback (not flames, really)
on just these two bits:

* failure to maintain key repositories in a sane, consistent state
  from which upgrades might actually be possible.

* Adding another layer of complexity, bugs, and wretched performance
  with yum

Personally, I have not experienced these problems yet, so I'd like to
know in which specific cases there is this kind of problems.
