You can do that, but you'll have to set up your own email receiver if you don't want to send to an existing server. Unless you have a firewall blocking outbound connections, a default install should be able to send mail with something like: 'mail -s test_message myaddress@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx < text_file' If you want to use kmail, set it up with a local mailbox (that won't get anything) and check the 'use local delivery' box - or you could put your ISP account there. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell@xxxxxxxxx
