sounds like a posibility, I will check this out in the morning. I have looked at the disk and it looks set correctly as device 0 master. I did unplug the cable as I had to move the cable as the drive was plugged into the middle conector and I had to change that to reach the new drive. I have also noticed that since plugging in my testing drive (currently FC6) it seems fine. Thanks for the sanity check ;) On 20/11/06, bruce <bedouglas@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
hi adam... not to imply that this might be your issue... but i had something similar with a drive i was dealing with a few weeks ago. turned out to be a simple problem in that i hadn't plugged in the data cable completely, and that i hadn't properly configured the master/slave jumpers completely. -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Adam Hough Sent: Monday, November 20, 2006 10:52 AM To: For users of Fedora Subject: Re: Hard Drive Error Disk or Motherboard?
