True. However, you may have difficulty getting "root" apps to run on a user 
desktop. IF you do, you can always run "xhost +localhost" so that you can do 
that. Or you can just lock the current session and start a new one and log in 
as root. That's what I've started to do since I discovered you can have 
multiple concurrent X sessions. :-)
