kde is certainly my favourite by far

My first move when installing FCx is to
edit /etc/sysconfig/desktop
and add a few KDE's

sysconfig 1001# cat desktop
DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE"
WINDOWMANAGER="KDE"
DISPLAY="KDE"

Then edit /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc to sort out the login !!!!

Managed to run FC5 with kde on a 2GB USB stick
icewm was quicker though !
