You can also mount separate partitions directly into the locations where you want the space if you know about it ahead of time. The advantage of LVM is just that you don't have to plan ahead - and the tradeoff for splattering everything wherever it wants to go is that you lose it all in one shot if any part fails. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell@xxxxxxxxx
