Hi
I had to re-install because when the processor went wrong, i could not
boot to any thing so, having all the disks ( windows XP and FC5 ), i
thought why not re-install everything from scratch .
I think that there may be a hard drive problem on the boot configuration
, but since i am not into the hardware side of pc's i would not kow
where to start examining for errors.
Could be that you suffered multiple instances of hardware failure due to
power problems, cooling problems, cabling issues, or whatever.
If the drives are not physically b0rked, you may just need to zero them
first to kick them into life. If the issue is more serious, then sorry
but it looks like another visit to the shop for new drives too.
First off, I'd get the hardware checked by someone who actually knows
what they're doing. It could be that the CPU is inadvertently
overclocked or set to the wrong voltage. It could be a memory timing
issue. It could be any of a myriad of hardware issues, but since you
admit you know nothing about the hardware you are working with, you
really need someone knowledgeable there with you to take a look.
