I always type the command > in a terminal window. I have options for "Lock screen", "Log Out", and "Shutdown" in the "Desktop" menu of my Gnome panel. Is that just because I've upgraded from FC4 rather than done a fresh install, and these entries are now gone in a default install? Paul.
