So the BIOS is doing a restore directly, and you never hit Grub. While this is what most people probably want, it isn't in your case. I have not looked that deeply into how FC5 is handling suspend, so I can not tell you what scripts need to be changed. Hopefully someone else that has dug into this will pop in here.
