Hi,

PPPoA
software is in the Qwest DSL modem (Actiontec GT701-wg DSL Modem with

Not sure what to do next.

Hey...I just went through this non-sense as well. Basically the modem
has to be setup with PPPoA(username/password stuff). Then you setup
your box to either DHCP from the router or with a static IP(I'm NAT'd
behind the router to 192.168.0.X).
I hope this helps.

OK my router is set up for DHCP...how do I set up my system to DHCP?
system-config-network, then select the interface you are using. There's a
checkbox for DHCP.
<snip>
eth0 is set to
-Activate on boot
-Automatically obtain IP address settings with DHCP
-Automatically obtain DNS information from provider
I still can't get online. If I set up a static IP configuration (not
precisely sure how), then I need to reconfigure WinXP also I imagine.
newbie still trying,
