Hi,

I have an FC5 WinXP dual boot system. Using Mozilla on FC5, I can't access
the Internet
except for RedHat sites. When using FC4 and SUSE 9.1, I could get online as
root only. WinXP goes online fine. Knoppix 3.2 goes online also. The PPPoA
software is in the Qwest DSL modem (Actiontec GT701-wg DSL Modem with
Wireless Gateway)
Not sure what to do next.

thanks,

Hey...I just went through this non-sense as well. Basically the modem
has to be setup with PPPoA(username/password stuff). Then you setup
your box to either DHCP from the router or with a static IP(I'm NAT'd
behind the router to 192.168.0.X).

I hope this helps.

Sean

OK my router is set up for DHCP...how do I set up my system to DHCP?

system-config-network, then select the interface you are using. There's a checkbox for DHCP.
