There are changes to be made to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf that you can't do 
thru the web page, and they have to do, generally, with permissions for 
the various operations.  But as far as setting up a printer, for me, 
thats always Just Worked(TM).  And with an epson printer, I use 
gutenprint only, and have nuked all traces of foomatic.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules.  I do use spamassassin too. :-)
