I must say that has been my experience - for some reason, FC5 seems to come up with more errors when installing from CD than earlier FC distributions. (1) I wish They would allow one to re-try when a file is "not found". On one computer I tried several times, and the installation failed at different points on each occasion. (In the end I installed from the hard disk.) (2) I think the alternative options (install from hard disk, etc) should be offered in the main menu, and not require one to boot with "linux askmethod". -- Timothy Murphy e-mail (<80k only): tim /at/ birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland
