Wow, I just started the FC5 install DVD and used "linux rescue"
I let it mount the drives and didn't do anything further besides doing a nice 
ctrl-alt-del to restart the box.

Now the box starts.

It's nice that it works again, but I get a feeling that I only had on Windows 
before :-)
