You may have luck if you can find out what the last release of the Nvidia driver was *before* they terminated support on your card. Newer than 7174, maybe better luck compiling. With either a 7174 installer or a slightly newer one that still has support, i would start watching the installer logs when it tries to compile. You may be able to work out the problems and get past the compile hurdles. If not, you're either stuck with the slow Xorg drivers, or you can get a Geforce card that's supported. You can pick up an overclocked FX 5200 for 34.99 us bucks. http://3btech.net/bfgasfaovgef1.html You can get the card I have here, an FX 5700 Ultra, for around 50 bucks.
