Hi, I have 2 things here that are bugging me a little bit, first one is I'm starting to get some SMART errors in my logs. Just a bunch of these: Device: /dev/hda, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors Should I be worried that my HD is gonna die soon? Also second issue I have is with K3B, whenever it finishes to burn a DVD I get an error saying that growisofs didn't finish cleanly and the log don't say that anything is wrong. Here's what the k3b log looks like: System ----------------------- K3b Version: 0.12.10 KDE Version: 3.5.1-0.1.fc4 Red Hat QT Version: 3.3.4 Kernel: 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 Devices ----------------------- _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.16 (/dev/hda, ) at /media/cdrecorder [CD-R; CD-RW; CD-ROM; DVD-ROM; DVD-R; DVD-RW; DVD+R; DVD+RW; DVD+R DL] [DVD-ROM; DVD-R Sequential; DVD-RW Restricted Overwrite; DVD-RW Sequential; DVD+RW; DVD+R; DVD+R Double Layer; CD-ROM; CD-R; CD-RW] [SAO; TAO; RAW; SAO/R96R; RAW/R96R; Restricted Overwrite] Used versions ----------------------- growisofs: 5.21 mkisofs: 2.1 growisofs ----------------------- INFO: UTF-8 character encoding detected by locale settings. Anybody ever had any issues like these? TIA -- Jean-Rene Cormier <jrc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
