You may have to power off between booting Linux and booting Windows.
What sometimes happens is that the driver for one OS leaves the
hardware in a state the other OS does not know how to handle. I
think it is probably because the driver only know how to handle the
hardware in the power-on state, or the state the driver leaves it
in. The reboot when changing from one OS to the other is not
returning the hardware to the power-on state.
