After i had tried so many configurations in xorg.conf (incuding upgraded to the newest ati, 8.22) with the screen always going black without any reponse, i stopped looking at the logs. But when i checked them for the last time, i found something interesting. I noticed that the fglrx doesnt support 16bit resolutions with my ati-card. As soon as i changed this to 24, everything worked fine. So atleast i've got a fedora installation working fine now. :)
