If the destination server is running IMAP, you should be able
to add an account on the mail client that has the local folder
and drag the messages to imap folders - or even it's inbox.
The format conversion will be handled on the server side.
You can hold messages in local MUA folders temporarily
if you need to convert a server, then push them back.
