Use --oldpackage , not --force . The --force option is like taking a
hammer to your RPM database. You'll get the package installed, but you
might break the database at the same time. --oldpackage just does what
you need it to do in this case.

And I believe -Uvh or -Fvh would be needed, since postfix is already
installed.
