This looks disastrous. I think I have really screwed this up. I never did understand links correctly. I tried to correct a couple in /etc/alternatives from konqueror, but got a desktop configuration file instead of an executable. I also tried from the CLI, but that didn't work either. Listing /usr/bin/mail* produces a couple of red blinking listings, which I take to be broken links. /usr/bin/mailq -> /etc/alternatives/mta-mailq Sorry to be such a wimp, but please tell me explicitly how to do this?
