Just read through the discussion, and what I got from it is that Gnome is
the interface for Grandma, and KDE is ok (not perfect) if you're a
programmer. (I use the command line and an Emacs clone within a terminal
window (PuTTY) on Windows. I'm comfortable with those dreaded text files. I
rarely see a Linux window manager.)
