Although, I can agree it is a bit large, I do not think someone should

chatting about cuddle cats or something, then I would agree the thread

should encourgae the help and support for users, even it if means 1500

Yes, it seems were that much closer, as you are now getting the
feed. Do you hear any sounds on your system at all? If not check The
Control Panel and see if your system is muted. Also be sure you sound
card is being detected.

What WM (Desktop) are you useing? (You may have hinted at it
before, but I do no remember). Also, be sure XMMS is not muted
itself.

SynSyn,

Many thanks for continuing talking to me. As, we can see, unfortunately, some people don't understand the 'spirit' of a list like this. Certainly, I am not the only to have problems with XMMS and, in my opinion, our conversatio will be usefull not only to me, but also, for other people - that is the driving force (the 'good spirit') of this list.  Well, in response to your questions:
(1) I do hear hear sounds on my system .
(2) My sound c! ard is being detected.
(3) My desktop is Gnome
(4) I don't know how can I verify is XMMS is muted.

Can I hear from you again
Thanks a lot!
Hoffmann
