It does not seem that I am able to find the folder you are referring to. I have traveled through MC to try to get to a similar folder. I am assuming that the "*" character indicates the version number of the kernel that I am running or something to that effect. In the K's I can see /jwhois-3.2.2 /kbd-1.12 ? 4096?Sep 25 02:50 /kdm ? 4096?Sep 25 03:19 /krb5-devel-1.4 ? 4096?Sep 25 03:48 /krb5-workstation-1.4 ? 4096?Sep 25 02:51 /krbafs-1.2.2 ? 4096?Sep 25 02:51 /ksh-20050202 ? 4096?Sep 25 02:51 /kudzu-1.1.116.2 /lftp-3.1.3 Is what you are talking about something that I could install through yum or from the cd? On one of my older systems I had to put a reboot=b argument into the kernel line in GRUB to fix that problem. You might have to do something similar.
