Hi

Why doesn't Fedora install this with the distribution? If the driveris in the kernel, why isn't the firmware on the CD?

Intel Centrino drivers are GPL and maintained within the kernel from2.6.14 onwards and as patches within the Fedora kernel before that forquite sometime. Unfortunately the firmware license is not compatiblewith the Fedora guidelines. At the basic minimum it would requireredistribution rights.
