I just bought a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI and it seems to work quite nicely with Fedora Core 4 x86_64. I bought only a single core processor, but the board claims to be dual core ready. I had no problems with the NIC, SATA controller (make sure (F)RAID support is turned off), or chipset. I'm using a PCI-e GeForce 6600 GT which worked with both nv (open source) and nvidia (binary) drivers. It was also a very reasonable price at about $100 (cheaper than other SLI boards) and includes a 1394b (the new faster version) controller on it (not tested, though since I have no firewire devices).
