Hi everybody,
I am looking for a board that supports 64bit AMD dual core processors, and that works with a Fedora Core 3 out-of-the-box
installation.
Can anybody recommend anything that they have installed FC3 on without problems (meaning no missing HD controller-, NIC controller-,
chipset-, video-drivers)?
Thanks,

Any reason you are particular about core 3 and not upgrading to the
current core 4?
I just bought a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI and it seems to work quite
nicely with Fedora Core 4 x86_64. I bought only a single core
processor, but the board claims to be dual core ready. I had no
problems with the NIC, SATA controller (make sure (F)RAID support is
turned off), or chipset. I'm using a PCI-e GeForce 6600 GT which
worked with both nv (open source) and nvidia (binary) drivers. It was
also a very reasonable price at about $100 (cheaper than other SLI
boards) and includes a 1394b (the new faster version) controller on it
(not tested, though since I have no firewire devices).

I have the same board minus the SLI and have a dual core AMD64 3800+ ,
PII-e GeForce 6600 GT and all is well with Fedora 4.
