Hi
If both hard drives were connected during the Linux installation it
should have asked you if you wanted to use Grub as the boot loader. If you selected this option Grub will ask which hard drive has the
default OS. If Windows is on the primary hard drive it will show up
hda 0 if not it is hda 1, Fedora should be on the other. When you get
here all you have to do is put a check mark next to the desired
default OS. I have selected grub because that is what I use on my
dual boot machine and it works fine with both Windows XP Pro sp2 and
Fedora Core 4. There are others boot loaders floating around that work
just as well if you don't want to use grub.

Well, there's not quite enough information properly to help.

You could use the technique I use to manage my multi-boot
system. I let Windows XP manage the boot for me. When my
machine, the XP boot manager comes up, and allows me to
select either Linux or a few varieties of XP boot. It
defaults to Linux in 30 secs. If Linux gets selected, then
GRUB runs, and allows me to select one of several Linux
kernels to boot.

I know that there are some around here who would argue
against this, but I find that the XP boot manager is
a very reasonable one. And XP and GRUB don't quite fit
each other. Especially on my machine. For that matter,
Linux and GRUB don't quite fit, but GRUB has some
kludgy little pieces to accomodate Linux, so it works
pretty well.

I find that the kludgy little pieces in GRUB to fit
Windows don't work quite so well for me, so I'm more
or less forced to use the XP boot loader this way.
But I find it quite adequate.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!

My GRUB loads right when I turn my computer on, then I can choose from my 3 flavors of Linux or my Windows XP. I just installed Fedora and choose GRUB as my boot loader. All works fine on this end of the line. Hope you get it working.
