Also you are advised to put repository details in the folder /etc/yum.repos.d rather than directly in /etc/yum.conf . My file /etc/yum.repos.d/dag.repo reads ==================================== [dag] name=Dag RPM Repository for Fedora Core baseurl=http://apt.sw.be/fedora/$releasever/en/$basearch/dag gpgcheck=1 enabled=0 ==================================== and I would say yum --enablerepo=dag install <whatever> -- Timothy Murphy e-mail (<80k only): tim /at/ birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland
