Having problems buillding an FC4 kernel

Hi,

I just install FC4 on my development system and found that the kernel build
procedure that I used for FC2 nolonger works under FC4.

I get the following when I try "make clean":

[root@litehouse 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4-i686]# make clean
fs/hostfs/Makefile:11: arch/um/scripts/Makefile.rules: No such file or
directory
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `arch/um/scripts/Makefile.rules'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [fs/hostfs] Error 2
make: *** [_clean_fs] Error 2

And same for "make mrproper":

[root@litehouse 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4-i686]# make mrproper
fs/hostfs/Makefile:11: arch/um/scripts/Makefile.rules: No such file or
directory
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `arch/um/scripts/Makefile.rules'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [fs/hostfs] Error 2
make: *** [_clean_fs] Error 2

Also, there doesn't appear to be a "configs" directory.

Can some one point me to the latest documentation on kernel build procedures
and changes that have occurred in the FC4 kernel sources?

Thanks,

John Steinman
